Good morning, it around 6:30am, we're getting ready for our final weekend of tree sales in 2013. We are open today and tomorrow, 9am until dark. We will close for the season at sundown tomorrow, Sunday December 15th. We have light snow falling, and my professional weather guru tells me that we can expect a "wintry mix" beginning mid-morning and lasting throughout the day. If the weather for Winchester verifies as opposed to Leesburg, it would probably be mostly snow; if Leesburg is the better model, perhaps more ice? Either way, prepare for old man winter to present you with weather fit for Rudolf & Santa, bring boots, gloves, weather proof jackets, etc. We still have around 5 inches of snow on the ground, and we may be adding to that! If you have all wheel or 4 wheel drive vehicles, please bring them. Everyone should be able to park on our gravel lot today, but our driveway and lot can get slippery with snow.
We continue to have a nice selection of our Mountain Slow Grown Douglas Fir, Norway Spruce and Colorado Blue Spruce. If you are looking for BIG trees, we have a huge inventory of beautiful Blue Spruce up to 14' tall. Please note that if you are seeking a very large tree, we may not be able wrap it in our balers; you may want to bring a pickup or other vehicle that can accommodate an unbaled tree. Talk to us at the barn or parking shack for more details.
We look forward to seeing you at the farm!
Happy Holidays
