It's a December-like out here at the farm dawn patrol, after we open at 9am, we are expecting a pleasantly cool day with temperatures in the mid 40's, getting chilly by the time we close at dark. We continue to have a great selection of our Mountain Slow Grown Douglas Fir and Colorado Blue Spruce up to 9 feet, with many taller, and we also have beautiful, hand-crafted wreaths in our barn. Our friends from Wild Hare Cider just down the road in Bluemont will be here today providing samples of their various cider brews, Finn's Snack Shack at the big green tent will be cooking up awesome hot dogs, soft hot pretzels, hot chocolate as well as a variety of snack items and drinks, and in the barn you can find local honey, pine garland, wreaths and a big selection of tree stands. Don't forget to try some hot Rinker's cider when you're finished with selecting your tree.
Please remember to clean up after your pet so that we can continue to allow dogs at the farm. Also, if you are going to get a very large (11' or bigger) Colorado Blue Spruce, bring 3-4 strong men to haul it in from the fields. There will be a fee for us to go into the fields to assist.
