Good morning from a frosty farm this morning! We are opening today at 9:00 am, expect a bit of snow still on the grass, maybe some clouds and temperatures around 40. If you have an all-wheel or 4-wheel drive vehicle, please bring it as it would allow us to more easily put vehicles into the overflow field parking where it might get just a tad soft with snow melt today.
We have a great selection of our Mountain Slow Grown Douglas Fir, Colorado Blue Spruce and Norway Spruce, with gorgeous Colorado Blues up to 15 feet tall! Our new Extra Large baler can now easily wrap up any tree on the farm...if you're intent on getting a big 11 foot plus tree, please bring at least two and maybe 3 strong men to haul it in from the fields. On weekends, we simply can't help with getting trees in from the fields for customers.
Come taste the hot spiced Rinker's Cider in the sales barn where we have also have Snickers Gap swag, fresh made wreaths, garland, local honey, and a selection of tree stands for sale. Our friends from Notaviva Vineyards will be on hand offering tasting from their latest vintages, the famous Lothar Erbe will have his authentic German specialty sausages and meats on hand, and Finn's Snack Shack is firing up their soft pretzels, hot dogs, drinks and snacks under the big green tent at the main sales barn.
