Good morning from the farm, we're all set to open this morning at 9:00 am, we will be open until dark, with the same hours for this Saturday and Sunday. Pleasant fall weather will be upon us, expect clouds and sun with temperatures in the mid 50's. We have a great selection of our Mountain Slow Grown Douglas Fir and Colorado Blue Spruce out in the fields and exquisite wreaths in the sales barn. As usual, we offer a variety of tree stands for sale, fresh local honey, pine roping and some Snickers Gap swag in the barn - the famous hot Rinker's Cider awaits for you there as well! Our friends from Bluemont Vineyard will be on hand today with tastings from their latest vinatages, Lothar Erbe will have his excellent, artisan crafted sausages for sale, and Wild Hare Cider will be here with their latest cider brews.
If you are intent on finding a large (11' and bigger) tree, bring 3 or 4 strong men to haul it from the fields. We cannot assist you on weekends. Please help continue us to allow dogs at the farm by cleaning up after your pet. Also, bungee cords or tie down straps make securing your tree fast, safe & easy, we provide free twine and also sell multi-use straps. Consider bringing a tarp on which to pull your tree, it's easy like gliding on a bed of snow. See you soon!
