Good morning, we have an amazing orange sunrise over the valley as we prepare to open for tree sales today at 9:00 am! We are expecting a sunny but cool day, with temperatures in the mid to high 30's, and we currently still have a few inches of snow on the ground. It should be a fun day at the farm, our hot spiced Rinker's Cider is warming up in the barn, Notaviva Vineyards will be on hand with their latest vintages for tasting and sale, Lothar Erbe will be here with his specialty meats and sausages, and Finn's Snack Shack will be serving up their famous hot pretzels, hot dogs, drinks and snacks under the green tent at the barn. We have fresh made wreaths, local honey, garland, a selection of tree stands and some Snickers Gap Swag available in the barn, no need to go anywhere else this Black Friday...
Our selection of trees is excellent this year, with some really beautiful Colorado Blue Spruce up to 15 and 16 feet tall! We purchased a new baler specifically designed to wrap up these big trees, if you are intent on getting one today or this weekend, please bring enough manpower to haul it in from the fields. We simply can't help or bring vehicles into the fields on busier days.
Although the snow has fully melted on our entrance and gravel lot, the overflow field parking still has snow - if you have an all-wheel or 4 wheel drive vehicle, it would help ease our parking if you could bring that vehicle and thus park anywhere with ease.
